Like many here who followed this stock on the AOL boards, I remember watching our stock rise rapidly to unexpected numbers. At the time, it was watching the stock run from $40K-something all the way to $84K or somewhere like that. We also watched the stock eventually drop back into the 40s. You just never know.

But it may be how I'm anchored but I have to feel like we'll visit some lower valuations eventually. Or maybe pessimism is a built-in for many of us. After all, it was both Charley and Warren who told us one of the secrets to life was low expectations.

Rallies are fun. They tell us how much we'll eventually be worth and more. As a look-see into the future, that's helpful. But I have trouble accepting that all this is here to stay for now.

Cheers,

SD

When Buffett decides to swap $300 Billion of stock as preference to spending any cash—it’ll be Deja vu all over again, Gen Re Redux, with Prince valuations: Party Like It’s 1998.
