Harris, when she was running for president and free to express her own sincerely held beliefs, said she would close all ICE detention centers, adding "on day 1" for emphasis.

Please tell me how this one does not stick.

Suggestion, embrace it but rationalize it with she was going to close them only temporarily while they were spruced up with fresh paint, more air conditioning, larger TV's and new sheets and pillows from Mike Lindell to make their stay more comfortable.

I think you are confusing that she said something in a previous campaign with something sticking. You have to wait a bit to see if anything sticks. *AND* It has to be something that's worthwhile. You want something to stick that stops the hemorrhaging of voters from your side.
