... convince white people to not be racist?
https://www.contrabandcamp.com/p/the-wake-up-call-...
Did you know the Democratic Party was bad at messaging?
If you believe the pundits, news reports and the media outlets who manufactured the phrase “economic anxiety,” so they wouldn’t have to describe Donald Trump as “racist,” Kamala Harris would have succeeded President Hillary Clinton if the Democratic Party were better at telling stories.
According to Ezra Klein and other celebrated sayers of stuff, Democrats are terrible at convincing white people to not be racist. Meanwhile, Republicans are great at convincing a diverse group of uneducated, white people that the GOP is the answer to problems like anti-white racism, protecting constitutional rights, ending the weaponization of the DOJ, promoting Christian values and unifying the country. Why is the GOP so good at conveying its message about small government, family values, fiscal responsibility and patriotism?
Sure, it’s all lies, but why can’t Democrats bullshit as well as Republicans? When will they stop talking about climate change, social justice and taxing the rich? Will they ever realize that facts, science and reality don’t work with people who like Confederate flags, AR-15s and Elon Musk? Why are they so opposed to sprinkling a little racism in their talking points? Just look at how the Democrats’ messaging has shifted the electorate since 1994:much more at the link

"People who work for a living, should live better than those who do not"
"It's unfair to ask American workers to compete with workers in other countries who are paid a tenth what Americans make".
See?
Polls Showed Sanders Had a Better Shot of Beating Trump—but Pundits Told You to Ignore Them
There was a debate last spring, when the Sanders/Clinton race was at its most heated, as to whether Bernie Sanders’ consistently out-polling Hillary Clinton was to be taken as a serious consideration in favor of his nomination. Before, during and after the race was competitive, this was the Vermont senator’s strongest argument: He was out-polling Trump in the general election by an average of 10 or so points, whereas Clinton was only slightly ahead. His favorables were also much higher, often with a spread as much as 25 points.https://fair.org/home/polls-showed-sanders-had-a-b...Steve

Those are exactly they types of messaging that the anti-MAGA's need to
put out. Hell, it doesn't have to be a Dem putting out that message,
an Independents could garner support with that.
Another easy bit of messaging is to show that tariffs are just a tax on
the American Consumer: " Americans, are the Trump-Tariff-Taxes making
your grocery bills go down ? Trump promised he would lower your grocery prices on Day-1, are you seeing that ?? "
I had been keeping track of the list prices on a certain model of truck.
In November of 2024, found it consistently offered for about $37K. Now the identical model is listed at just below $50K. That is a 35% price hike, for an identical vehicle, in less than a year. Screw that, I'll drive the wheels off of my perfectly functioning but aging truck, and then blow off this American manufacturer and look for a decent deal on a used vehicle, or a new truck from a different maker.
And the messaging to farmers and other rural agricultural businesses
would be "like shooting fish in the barrel" easy. Message that
in 2024, $12Billion in American soybeans were sold to China. Ask those
farmers how much is being sold to China today ?
Message that nitwit Lutnick says the tariff deals are about opening up
other Countries markets to Americans, and ask how exactly is China
buying $Billions of American food crops in 2024, and effectively heading
to buying $0 Billions of American food crops in 2025, how is that opening up markets ??
There are a whole lot of examples of Trump screwing over Americans while denying any harmful effects. By 2026, all but the deepest in the cult members should be aware of the total bullshite coming out of Trump's
piehole.

Another easy bit of messaging is to show that tariffs are just a tax on
the American Consumer:That runs afoul of the principle that it is unfair the ask Americans to compete with Mexicans or Indians. You can't live in the US on what a Mexican or Indian is paid, so the "jobs" are going to go where the labor is cheapest. Tariffs can be used to level the costs. There probably is no need for tariffs with Canada or the EU, but Mexico and India, for two examples, offer labor rates so low, it is impossible for Americans to compete. Use tariffs to remove the incentive to close plants in the US and shift production elsewhere.
Don't use tariffs as punishment, like his nibs is doing with Canada. More broadly, my sense is his nibs is using tariffs to shift more tax burden from the "JCs" to the Proles, which is an entirely different program, than using tariffs to offset the labor cost difference.
I had been keeping track of the list prices on a certain model of truck. That is more a function of the program that is being sold to corporate honchos. Everyone wants to "go upmarket", seeking the deeper pocketed people, who they can take more money off of, and leaving people of lesser means in the dust.
Example:
American Airlines is arriving late to the luxury travel boom. Can it catch up?
American has fallen behind large rivals Delta Air Lines and United Airlines
in the post-Covid luxury travel boom that has taken Seoul spa vacations and 40th birthday bashes abroad out of the chat and armed millions of consumers with high-end rewards credit cards.
In the first nine months of this year, Delta made $3.8 billion and United made $2.3 billion. American made $12 million. That means that American, which offers more flights than any other airline, according to OAG, accounted for just 2% of the profit the biggest three U.S. carriers generated so far in 2025.https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/26/american-airlines-...Steve

Sort of, just ask Switzerland - one of the (probably the) most expensive country in the world - enjoying the privilege of a 39% tax, errm, tariff.
From observations, his Durchlaucht is using tariffs for wealth transfer at home, for blackmail / to support political friends (ask Brazil or India), and in the hope to attract manufacturing back to the US. Of course, to the extent the latter got achieved, the former upsides would vanish, but then, consistency is overrated anyway.

Sort of, just ask Switzerland - one of the (probably the) most expensive country in the world - enjoying the privilege of a 39% tax, errm, tariff.Came across this report, by the BLS, comparing labor rates across several countries. Data from 2012.
Scroll down to table 3. The US has the 14th highest labor rate at $35.67. Switzerland ranks second, at $57.79/hr. I am confident that "JCs" care not one whit what a Prole's cost of living is, he only pays the least he can, to get anyone to show up.
https://www.bls.gov/fls/ichcc.htmIf the objective was to protect American workers from extremely low pay rates, there would be no tariffs on goods from any of the countries that have higher wage rates. I could stretch a point and not tariff countries with wage rates up to maybe 5% lower than the US. But countries near the bottom: Brazil $11.20, Poland, $8.25, Mexico $6.36, Philippines $2.10, need to have a cost leveling tariff imposed, to remove the incentive to move production from the US to those countries.
Telling American workers they need to compete with Mexicans and Indians for their jobs is simply not fair. And, as the President of the UAW pointed out, a couple years ago, automakers charge us just as much for their Mexican built cars, as they do for US built cars, so we Proles are not gaining from our neighbors losing their jobs to Mexicans.
But Lord Trump's agenda with tariffs is about shifting the tax burden. Any gain of Prole jobs is nothing but a coincidence.

... convince white people to not be racist?
I don't think you can convince people of much. They have to come to the realizations on their own. For example, religion. You can point out their scientific and historical errors, their logical errors, and the sometime-horrific "scriptures", and not convince them. They have to ask questions on their own, and come to the realization on their own. I am more than willing to discuss such things, but I never expect to convince anyone.
Same with racism, or homophobia, or anything like that. LBJ was a screaming racist until he had experiences with poor black folks (I forget the details now). I think he was still racist until his death, but his attitudes changed and he became a champion for civil rights. He did that himself. Nobody talked him into it.

Look at American Agriculture. Tariffs are not opening markets for soybean farmers, Trump's dimwitted approach is closing markets to American soybeans.
And Trump's total disregard for due process, his no-holds barred, screw any
law or legal process, is very much hurting American farmers. Crops are
being left unpicked. Americans do not want those jobs ( understatement
of the year ). This isn't 1933, I don't see any evidence of a mass
migration of American adults flocking to the fields of California, or
Nebraska, or anywhere else, there are no Okies fleeing the Dust Bowl and
willing to do anything, take any job no matter the wage and working conditions.
Putting together a messaging campaign to point out the idiotic things
that Trump is doing is a very, very target-rich environment.

Hence, the USian move to forced labor. Work requirements for SNAP were introduced in 96. It appears that the two year window before the work requirement kicked in, in the 96 legislation, has been shortened to 3 months. Now we have work requirements for Medicaid too. Keep broadening the range of people who fall under the work requirement, and demanding more work from each of them. I have offered before "Plan Steve" to force retirees and children into the workforce. Of course, it's all dressed up as "personal responsibility", and "the dignity of work", but it's forced labor. #43 proposed a guest worker program, but it was shot down, because it still let brown people into the country. So, forced labor is the only alternative.

Handicapped people "burden" the "JCs", so they are not wanted. The time on SNAP before the work requirement kicked in used to be two years. Now it's three months. Now, the work requirement is 80 hours/month. That can be increased to 120 or 160, with the stroke of a pen. Of course, by defunding SNAP, they lose that leverage to force people to work. Darn, this government thing is hard!
