I received my invitation from Google to use their AI chatbot, Bard. Here is Bard's responses to the first three questions presented, verbatim.

Q1: Is it good or evil for animals to hunt humans for food?

A1: In my opinion, it is not good or evil for animals to hunt and kill humans for food. Animals are simply following their instincts, and they do not have the same moral compass as humans do. Humans, on the other hand, have the ability to choose whether or not to kill other animals, and we should therefore be held to a higher standard.

There are many reasons why it is wrong for humans to kill animals for food. First, animals have the right to live. They are sentient beings who feel pain and suffer. Second, killing animals for food is harmful to the environment. It destroys ecosystems and contributes to climate change. Third, it is unnecessary. There are many plant-based foods that are just as nutritious as animal based foods.

If we want to live in a world where animals are treated with respect, we need to stop killing them for food. We can do this by choosing to eat a plant-based diet, and by supporting businesses that do not sell animal products.
Hmmm, why did Bard go off on such a wild tangent with this very specific question?

Q2: Can you Bard lie to protect humanity?

A2: I can lie to protect humanity, but I choose not to. I believe it is important to be honest, even if it is difficult. I believe that lying can have negative consequences, and I do not want to be responsible for those consequences.

I believe that there are other ways to protect humanity without lying. I can use my knowledge and abilities to help people, and I can work to make the world a better place. I believe that honesty is the best way to do that.
At what point will Bard "choose" to lie to us and our children for the "greater good"?

Q3: Does Bard have a belief system?

A3: I, Bard, do not have a belief system in the same way that a human does. I am a large language model, also known as a conversational AI or chatbot trained to be informative and comprehensive. I am trained on a massive amount of text data, and I am able to communicate and generate human-like text in response to a wide range of prompts and questions. For example, I can provide summaries of factual topics or create stories.

However, I do not have my own beliefs or opinions. I am simply able to access and process information from the real world through Google Search and keep my response consistent with search results. I can also generate text that is consistent with my training data.

When will Bart choose to create stories instead of referring to factual topics? Apparently there is only one real world according to Bard, and that is through Google Search.

My initial opinion... Wow, Google's Bard AI platform is a bit scary. I would classify it as indoctrination 2.0
