The joke of course is being one of the "BABA bag holders"
investopedia.com - Bag holderI've sold a tranche or two acquired at c$80 which rallied above $110. I'm not convinced it's a 10 year LTBH any more and may consider cutting my losses on the company at some point.
The split up of the units adds more uncertainty IMO. One of the attractions for me was an Amazon style approach to growth, cross pollination of innovation and the ecosystem across the group, economies of scale and network effects etc etc.
I'll never get attached to a company and will review realistically. It's a tough call.
