I think Jim had mentioned a paid service that provides history of stock prices. Does anyone remember what it is and if it is still available?

My first couple of searches hasn't turned up a familiar name.

Thanks
Rich

Checkout the link John III provided Norgate - their data is actually Survivorship bias free. VERY BIG DEAL!

If you are starting from scratch without dependencies ( like I have) - highly recommended - they even have a Python API integration.

Not me, actually. I still use Yahoo when I need something, other than what's stuffed in my local databases from a while back.

I’ll second the rec for Norgate. Not inexpensive though. I purchased their 20 years of survivorship bias free package many years ago put the data in my own database and then for several years regularly updated the data using python get data or yfinace utility. If you don't continue to use the Norgate method of distinguishing between ticker symbols that are reused when a new company replaces an older one that delisted. As I remember the formats at least in the past are not the same but easy to convert. The only problem is yahoo randomly changes their data interface and it sometimes takes a month or two before you have access to data. Have to admit I haven’t been keeping this up for almost a year.

I've been using Premium Data for years.

https://www.premiumdata.net

You can get a long history which takes into account survivorship bias. Seems good for backtesting.
