Manlobbi has just added a new feature as of today, April 1st, which is a step
in the right direction -- perhaps following the lead of Elon Musk's takeover
of Twitter/X. But I would suggest that it may not go far enough and that
we lower the ban threshold from 3 to 1 ignores. Free speech is all well
and good, but I shouldn't be forced to read stuff that I don't agree with.

Not to be argumentative, but I don't agree with that. While I agree that people should reign themselves in, I certainly appreciate the diversity of thought found on these boards, and have come to find the news feeds I get on line to be simple confirmation bias tools based on the little widget behind the scenes that just sends you more of the same that you just read. Plus there are some people I really can't stand wrt politics, but they are darned good at investing. As long as there is some signal in the noise, we should guard against pushing the mute button. Perhaps there is another way to deal with this.

Yeah, it's the capricious nature of where you are directed when clicking on something "new" in your favorites. Doesn't always take you to where you left off, and when it's at the end of the page, it looks like the "new" post as following posts are hidden.
Nonetheless, my point stands.

There is a little blue button on the right side of the page. One at the top and one at the bottom.

I subscribe be to Apple News, which provides a broad swath of media, all sides from far right to far left and mostly the stuff in between. If they’re algorithming me I haven’t noticed it. My favorite part is that I get tons of stuff that’s behind paywalls, and rarely but occasionally I get a splash screen saying ‘Please subscribe” but that goes away and I get the pay walled content from sources I’m not going to pay a full price for because I don’t care that much.
Even better, I can often find a story via Google News or Facebook or here or there which leads me to a paywall, but I can easily get it via Apple News without the wall. There is a search function - and tons of stuff that isn’t featured up front is waiting for you down in the stack files of the servers.
It’s what Google News used to be before everybody started erecting “keep out” signs, and the depth is quite excellent. You can get a lot of the content free anyway; they serve it up free as a come on. If you want it all, yes, you have to pay Apple for the privilege. Oh well. At least some of the money ends up back at the publishers.

I subscribe be to Apple News...
Sounds great and thank you for the suggestion, but I do not have an I phone and a quick search shows you have to have an Apple product for that. Nice to know there is a company that appreciates broad news delivery.
