OK, just 1/2 of Trump's cabinet support his run for President now.
Trump’s presidential bid has the support of only half of his Cabinet
It is rare for Cabinet members to not support the president they served. They are normally some of a president’s most loyal supporters. But in the case of Trump’s Cabinet, these uniquely qualified insiders — spanning from the vice president and chiefs of staff to more than a dozen agencies, such as Agriculture, Commerce, Homeland Security and Transportation — are deeply divided about whether he should return to power.
What fool thinks he SHOULD return to power?

Hey Trumpers...you sure about voting for that guy?
See what those who know him best have to say:
4 STAR Marine GENERAL James Mattis, hired by Trump as Secretary of Defense: " [Trump] has no moral compass; a misguided form of nationalism; beyond stupid to felony stupid" and that's when I resigned.
4 STAR Army GENERAL Mark Milley, served as Trump's Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: "We don't take an oath to an individual, we take an oath to the Constitution. [Trump] is a wannabe dictator."
4 STAR Marine GENERAL John Kelly, hired by Trump to be his personal Chief of Staff: "[Trump] is a deeply dishonest person who has no idea what America stands for. The most flawed person I've ever met."
3 STAR Army LIEUTENANT GENERAL H.R. McMaster, hired by Trump as his National Security Advisor: "[Trump's] failure to condemn white supremacy “gives space to these groups that foment hatred and intolerance.”
Dan Coats, hired by Trump as his Director of National Intelligence: "He doesn't know the difference between the truth and a lie."
STAR Navy Admiral William McCraven, Commander, US Special Operations, Seal Commander who took out Osama bin Laden and coordinated the capture of Sadaam Hussein: Trump's comments "may be the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime."
4 STAR ARMY GENERAL Barry McCaffrey. He received three Purple Heart medals for injuries sustained during his service in the Vietnam War, two Silver Stars, and two Distinguished Service Crosses—the second-highest United States Army award for valor. He was inducted into United States Army Ranger Hall of Fame at the United States Army Infantry Center : [Trump] "is a serious threat to USA national security."
CIA Director Gina Haspel, Trump's CIA choice: Haspel said Trump's post-election behavior was 'insanity' and he was 'acting out like a 6-year-old with a tantrum."

https://wapo.st/3yrPs78From a comment on the article:
Trump called his wife Mercedes and in a tweet he called her Melanie. He confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi numerous times. He confused a picture of E Jean Carroll with his former wife - Marla Maples. He kept indicating that he is running against Obama. Following is from Jennifer Rubin excerpt:
"Some examples of Trump’s non-words: Beneficiaries becomes “benefishes.” Renovations become “renoversh.” Pivotal became “pivobal.” Obama became “obamna.” Missiles became “mishiz.” Christmas became “Crissus.” Bipartisan became “bipars.” …
Trump also engages in what we call “tangential speech.” He just becomes incomprehensible when he engages in free association word salad speech that is all over the place. Again, that’s a sign of real brain damage, not being old, not being slow, not losing a step ... but of severe cognitive deterioration. What I don’t understand is why those clips aren’t replayed over and over in the mainstream media. Isn’t Trump babbling incoherently the most newsworthy part of his rally? You can be sure it would be if it were Biden."
From Jennifer Rubin 3 20 2024
Dr. John Gartner’s Trump dementia petition……. signed by hundreds of mental health professionals, pointing to obvious signs of Trump’s mental dysfunction.
At one point, Trump was making nonsense sounds, struggling to form even a single word. At one of his events, he said “We’ll re-ve-du. Ohhhh.” At that moment, Trump took a long-defeated sigh, and looked up at the ceiling blankly, looking confused and de-energized. Finally, Trump is sometimes reduced to simply vocalizing nonsense sounds that are not words at all like an infant. For example, at a recent rally Trump said “Gang, boom. This is me. I hear bing.” Trump is literally babbling nonsensically and his followers at these rallies, or interviewers on right-wing media, are nodding their heads in appreciation like he makes sense. This is deeply disturbing.
.. failure of so many media outlets to ....discuss Trump’s mental function is inexcusable."

unfortunately the respect conservatives are due is inversely related to the size of the faction.
relative size of 'trumper groups'
always+mostly >> former >> never
where ">>" at least an order of magnitude
also note that 'former\never trumper' does not automatically mean they will vote for a Democrat in order to keep trump out of office. no credit allowed for throwing a vote away on a hopeless 3rd-party.
it took some effort to find some famous conservative that actively voted for dems in both 2016,2020, and i came away with Bush the Elder (Shrub data seems missing).
so is unclear whether the publicly vocal former trumpers will put a dent in the 30% truly independent voters that will show up.
seems NO dent in registered GOP, and this predictably includes all that claimed they did not want to vote for an old person.
