Some Republican lawmakers call for mass expulsion of American Muslims

“It is time for a Muslim travel ban, radical deportations of all mainstream Muslim legal and illegal immigrants, and citizenship revocations wherever possible,” Rep. Randy Fine (R-Florida) posted on social media Monday. “Mainstream Muslims have declared war on us. The least we can do is kick them the hell out of America.”

Fine’s comments echoed those of Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) in an X post on Sunday.

“Islam is not a religion. It’s a cult,” Tuberville wrote on X. “Islamists aren’t here to assimilate. They’re here to conquer. … We’ve got to SEND THEM HOME NOW or we’ll become the United Caliphate of America.”

Being anti Muslim is popular among the Adventists here. It mostly shows up as wailing about what is happening in Europe. The last round was a friend of mine lamenting about the Muslims in Ireland. They are 2% of the population or less, but do concentrate in the cities and put up mosques - that means less Christians. There's a lot of boat blocking on the Mediterranean shore now - with some drownings. That's part of what is causing the right wing wave over there.

But I remember that before we became a country there was a Muslim farm out by Wall Street in New York. Benjamin Franklyn used to rail about how the Germans we're no assimilating! In the next twenty years we'll find an American Muslim out ranting about immigrants. (He may even wear a red hat) It's the American way! :)

Steve, using "pogrom" in this way is just another indication of your virulent and insane anti-Semitism.

Trump expands travel ban, adding 5 more countries and imposing new limits on others

On Tuesday, the Republican administration announced it was expanding the list of countries whose citizens are banned from entering the U.S. to Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan and Syria. The administration also fully restricted travel on people with Palestinian-Authority-issued travel documents.

An additional 15 countries are also being added to the list of countries facing partial restrictions: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
