Folks, today DVA is surging, we all know Ted has owned for decades, its a buyback machine. Throwing to the side the ethics/ethos of the company, I know folks here aren't impressed with the company.
I'm talking strategy here. SIRI is similar in many ways to this from a financial point of view.
$15B of stocks were purchased this past quarter, that is a high amount.
Greg will be fine, let him have to own, or sign off on what Ted does, Ted doesn't want publicity, he wants to sit and analyse.

Au contraire,$24B of equities were sold in the same quarter so they were net sellers of equities.

I don't understand the wholesale selling of all/most of Todd's positions. Were they all bad?

Not entirely surprising. Buffett did the same thing when Lou Simpson left. All his positions were liquidated and I remember him saying that was because he wanted a clean slate and he could not have the conviction that the original manager had in positions he didn't understand.
The 13-F is not yeat out so it is hard to know if he has done the same thing this time. It would be a shame if they dumped visa, mastercard etc based purely on who originally bought them.

I understand the net sales, yes they were net sellers of equities. But, when was the last time they found $15B of stocks to buy? OXY back in 2022
likely sold all of Todd's stuff, but added to or either initiated new positions.
