. I remember speaking to someone who was waiting for there to be peace before traveling to the Middle East. Fifty years later, I guess they are still waiting.


The Middle East has not had peace for the last many hundred years. Couple of thousand years.

If it wasn't that it had oil, nobody outside the region would give a hoot about it.
