Berkshire Hathaway, the investment firm controlled by US billionaire Warren Buffett, continued to trim its stake in BYD, selling 2.48 million shares in the Chinese electric-vehicle (EV) maker last month, at least the 10th reduction since August.

The shares were sold for HK$539.8 million (US$68.8 million) on March 31 at an average price of HK$217.67 per share, according to stock exchange data. Following the divestment, Berkshire's interest in BYD has dropped to 10.9 per cent from 11.13 per cent, and compared with 19.92 per cent when the Omaha, Nebraska-based investment firm began trimming its exposure last year.

Like a broken record I will once again point out that the filing shows BHE sold 10,597,500 BYD shares (HK:1211), not the 2.48m shares quoted in the press, which was just the amount traded on the day triggering the filing requirement (the day they crossed over another whole number in percentage ownership of this specific share class). So closer to $300 million USD worth.

combining that and other global points of interest, where can I find the percentage of foreign earnings historically in BRK ?

for unrelated reasons I have been tracking tightly the last year on the eur-$ , and its pretty interesting. euro has recovered quite well in 6 months from multi year lows and is trending inversely to the US economic forecasts despite all the strikes and discombobulation over there.
how much hidden "arbitrage" in currencies is there in BRK , long term ?

anyone got a clue ?
