I see Vroom is out for the count:

Vroom, the once-mighty Carvana competitor, will wind down its used-car business
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/vroom-th...

"Vroom Inc., once valued at a heady $2.5 billion, said Monday it is winding down its online used-car sales business in order to preserve liquidity, as its market cap has dwindled to less than $100 million."

Tough business, lots of competition.

What I can't understand about Car Max is if they really make "about $2200 per retail unit", why are their prices so high? I just bought two used cars, my boys passed their drive tests within a month of each other. Car Max prices were consistently $3k or more than the local guys for low mileage Mazda3s'.

Example:
https://www.carmax.com/car/25022084
2016 Mazda Mazda3 I Sport $17,998 52K miles

I paid $14,650 for a 2016 Mazda Mazda3 I Touring with 41k miles at a local Honda dealer. Great shape, one owner, clean Car Fax.
