When 'diversity is your strength', it turns out you're not very strong:
https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/it-was-chao...MINNEAPOLIS -- Saturday's Ward 10 DFL Convention in Minneapolis was supposed to end with a candidate endorsed for city council. Instead, it ended with multiple people in the hospital and police on the scene - and no endorsement.
Prior to incumbent Aisha Chughtai's time to address the crowd, supporters of challenger Nasri Warsame approached and eventually took the stage.
The moment, captured on cell phone video, lasted for several minutes and forced the convention to end abruptly.
"It was a disruption, it was chaos," said DFL volunteer Quentin Wathum-Ocama. "I've never seen anything like this, and I've been doing this close to a decade."Yup. The guy that wants Chughtai's job basically says he's there to represent the Somali community and that's about it.
Everyone's got a group to join!

Umm, quoting your article:
"We cannot send the message that you can come and disrupt democratic processes and be rewarded for it," he said. "We cannot let this be a play in somebody's playbook for the future that they think they can come and use these kind of tactics to come disrupt this process to get a result that they want."
As for Warsame, Wathum-Ocama says he's disappointed the candidate didn't step in.
"He had a duty to help deescalate the situation, he failed to do that."
Umm, that sounds vaguely familiar, no?
Oh, right, Jan. 6 when the former president incited a riot to delay the certification of the 2020 presidential election by inviting his Cult to "come and disrupt democratic processes" in order to "get a result that they want" and sat by watching it on television for three hours without trying to stop it -- actually, he escalated the violence by tweeting out that Pence had failed them -- not the result that the election delivered: his defeat.
You guys are hilarious.

Actually, it doesn't. Political violence is now becoming routine, and we can thank the left for that.
Thanks for keeping the thread on topic!

Hee Hee.
Most Americans don't realize - their country - while the best and magnificent - is an infant around 200+ years.
And it's allowed itself to turn its melting pot into a mosaic ....and soon tribes, factions and castes. It's already visible to those not culturally or historically ignorant - that means 95% of Americans won't realize it - until it's official and believe me - it will be one day.
Here's to the Somali community in Minneapolis, may they advance their cause by any means they deem fit. Since the mid 2000s I've made a modest buck helping 1st generation immigrants milk the system financially. Reducing tax bills, reducing inheritance taxes, etc. The TMF board made it a passion of mine in the mid 2000s and today - lol - you should see the wonderful homemade lamb I'm treated to for Eid and the homemade Roti during Diwalis. LOL. After 10-15 years - there's families getting Social Security checks, paying zero taxes on real estate income.....and honestly they had no idea the stuff was possible. There's a small handful of H1B visas overstayed their visa term - and are now permanent residents doing I.T jobs - that last one - to me - is not just Netflix and Chill - it's IMAX and Climax. Mind you - the groups I focused on had excellent family values, frugality, and valued education so you have to tailor the advice accordingly.
Somalis - and certain other groups I only had brushes with. My belief was and is - they need to populate the hell out oof government jobs. Apply apply apply, work work work, and then when in position to hire - hire more Somalis. These are good steady jobs, good work schedules, EXCELLENT benefits and pensions. And focus on local and state - much easier to get those gigs. Milk the taxpayer money with little intent to blend in. But I always had a hard to getting a rapport going on this one. Didn't amount to much but hopefully there's strength in numbers and hopefully they are doing this in Minneapolis.
Where it comes to Europe especially - and then America, We Shall Overcome is to be replaced by - We Shall Overwhelm.
Also, the more people who DON'T see themselves as American and don't give a hoot about America, history, etc...it will be easier to shred the Bill of Rights and "Democracy!" that some pretend to care about.
I gotta lay off fast food. I want to live long enough to watch all of this unfold.
