Rejecting a diverse palate of candidates in 2020 and opting for an Old White Male despite making that demographic the boogeyman all these years.
Proceeding for years, despite obvious hints, t deny that the President's age and or mental abilities were dulling and therefor an impediment to doing the job. And when others suggested it - jumping down their throats and fully denying it.
The "watchdog media" being complicit in this, and being totally content having someone who might possibly be asleep at the switch for real continue in power only until it became apparent it might help Trump win.
