That bill was mostly stick, few carrots. But it's more important to them to have an issue in an election year. Besides... Trump said so.

Not that anyone expected it to pass. It was mostly a signal that Dems were willing to swallow a lot of stuff they didn't want to address the problem. And that the Reps aren't serious. They accomplished both.

But the MAGA will never hear this. Right now they have more important things to rage about: that Biden sent the FBI to Mar-a-Lago to assassinate Trump. Unbelievable.
