Watching Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth demonstrate his appalling lack of credentials, knowledge, and character for the job for which he was nominated I am compelled to ask: Is the Trump administration running a DEI program for incompetent, unqualified, and/or ethically compromised Whites?

I’ve been hoping for six months that Jennifer Rubin would dump the WaPo and head over to Substack.

Last week, she did just that, and a host of top notch journalists are likewise joining the exodus from mainstream, corporate owned media.

Within the Substack ecosphere, The Bulwark, Meidas, and The Contrarian seem to be the three completely subscriber funded journalistic enterprises that are pulling the most talent.

No corporate or deep pocketed owners or advertisers setting editorial policy or control. It’s all subscriber based and funded.

Journalism beholden only to its readers. What a revolutionary concept.
