First of all, Happy New Year.
But it's also just another day.
Made some purchases this morning on Treasury Direct and saw a thin black banner at the top left, that reads, "An official website of the United States government Here’s how you know," Click on the link there and it tells you about the usual locked symbol and https assurances.
But, on the right side of the banner is another link, "U.S. Department of Treasury," which links to the official U.S. Treasury Website. The topmost banner there reads, "President Donald J. Trump has signed a Continuing Resolution through January 30th. Thanks to the President’s decisive leadership in the face of radical left-wing obstructionism, the Department of the Treasury has now resumed normal operations."
This would be laughable except that it's political MAGA propaganda on an official government website! Is that even legal?
May we all stay free and connected to the things that are true and productive for the greatest good and peace.
Hopefully, sometime in the not too distant future we will again be able to go to government websites that are free of personality cults and insults.
