trump's iran 'pause' is hiding the fact that reality just delivered the biggest slapdown for trump's authoritarian world tour, and media missed it.

consider the rarity of 4 converging failures :
a. subsidized shipping insurance and navy 'escort' had zero takers
b. $200b in new taxpayer war funding refused
c. military factually reports critically depleted stock of armaments (and thus the hegseth purges)
d. Fed did nothing while treasury stress index exceeded covid levels...due to trump economy job loss and inflation.

no wonder trumpedo keyed up the distraction of bondi.
but no worry, incompetent MAGA grifters are as replaceable as ayatollahs.

another item to update , via peter zeihan.

e. the IRGC is giving american oil majors a challenge for profit leader in this quagmire.
- reported 'safe transit' fees of ~$2m per ship per hormuz pass (using channel on iran side)
- complete waivers for outbound iran oil
- complete waivers for commercial ships from china bringing drone parts, and other goods beneficial towards the conflict

it is unclear whether iran is allowing all gulf\muslim countries the privilege of paying the transit fees.
it seems expedient to do so for the IRGC.

steve, you may want to check on private placement opps for diversification. dont let trump beat you to the real action!
