I just thought I'd update the graph from this old thread.
http://stonewellfunds.com/SmoothedRealValuePerShar...This shows the smoothed trend value of a share, and lines 1 and 2 standard deviations above and below, scaled to best fit in the last 20 years.
Yellow spot is the price at the moment, $476.61 per B share, which is still 11.5% above the trend, almost exactly the +1 standard deviation number.
The valuation method is average of (K times known book per share) and (my two-and-a-half-column method), both scaled to fit prices before averaging. Then that is smoothed using a 16 quarter WMA function.
