The principal you are actually looking for, but deliberately misstated because you're a smug leftist,is that if you make a post on social media which is embarrassing to your employer or other affinity group you are associated with,or violates their social media policies, because you are ego tripping and want other similar a holes to "like" you and reinforce your group think and cognitive biases, then don't whine and complain when said employer takes or affinity group takes disciplinary action.

Unless of course you have legal recourse under the first amendment or some similar legal principal in which case get a lawyer and get your job back, as some in this situation have actually done.

I exercised my First Amendment rights. What a smug supercilious leftist thinks about it, especially one so intellectually dishonest as yourself, has to say about it is simply a single dats point, and imo not a very credible or important data point.
