Rhetorical Question: This has been a long time coming Mr Garland. David Weiss has been conducting the investigation for some time time now, so why today to make this announcement? <?I>

Typical. Repubs have been pushing for special counsel, Garland has said Weiss has not asked, so the innuendos go that Weiss has asked and been denied. Now, Weiss asked. Garland appointed him SC. You got what you asked for. And Weiss asking now and being appointed SC shows he didn't ask in the past. So you question that with why now and simultaneously questioning Weiss's competency. But Weiss is your boy, Trump's boy - so ask him, cause you got what you wanted. :)

Is it to avoid facing up to the boiling furor over the whistleblower accusation and conflicting statements by the DOJ whether Weiss had been handcuffed in the investigation? Inquiring minds.....
