The conservative SCOTUS could dramatically harm the planet with this case.

While deregulation is a nice talking point, too many people and businesses are neither ethical or altruistic.

Left to their own devices, commercial fishermen will fish themselves out of a resource; "it's the regulators" "it's Greenpeace" "it's the otters" 'it's the seals" "it's the chinese" "it's the aquaculture industry" they'll cry as their businesses fail.

"Gun, e-cigarette, farm, timber and home-building groups are among the business groups supporting the fishermen. Conservative interests that also intervened in recent high court cases limiting regulation of air and water pollution are backing the fishermen as well."
