But wait...there's hope yet for the cult!

I haven't the time or need to watch it. Besides, I've read that, like substance abusers, short of an intervention, a cultist has to come to the realization that they are in a cult on their own.

Some of the insurrection convicts have seen the light; come to the realization that they were in a cult, deceived by a con man from the $400.00 gold sneakers on their feet to the red chinese caps on their noggins.

This may just be the staircase out of the basement a cultist is looking for. YMMV.

"Steven Hassan, PhD, is one of the leading experts on cults and undue influence in the world. A former member of the right-wing Moonie cult, Hassan was deprogrammed 45 years ago and has dedicated his life to helping people out of cults and destructive situations. Dr. Hassan is a licensed mental health professional and has written four books, including The Cult of Trump and the seminal book Combating Cult Mind Control. On Mea Culpa, Steve will explain HOW mind-control works, and how to protect yourself from its grips. He will also address ethical influence as the podcast will address the entire Influence Continuum.

But you have to want out (like the Scientologists, Mormons, or whomever). Seems to me that requires some realization that you are in a cult, or at least a bad situation, and seek help. My knowledge is limited, and mostly on the religious side. I've read accounts and seen interviews with people whom have escaped from cults. There was always a trigger that made them question things (e.g. being a 15 yr old girl promised to a 50 yr old "church elder"). I'm not sure MAGA will ever have that.

Seems to me a few J6 convicts saw the light. Expressed disappointment in themselves for getting sucked into the MAGA hype.

Perhaps a few who bought DJT on the first day, then got suckered into averaging down to support the MAGA cause, will see the light when they can't make rent on their double wide?
