As near as I can tell, this demolition is on the side of the East Wing that's not far from the Treasury Building. Why the hell is construction happening there? I thought the new "ball room" was supposed to be on the side toward the "president's park", where there is currently only grass and trees?

The Beeb was reporting on the construction progress this evening. Reportedly, the entire $250M is from private donations. Of course, who the donors are, and what they may receive from Lord Trump, is a deep dark secret.
Today, Lord Trump said there may be money left over, after the ball room is complete. The Beeb suggested maybe he will use that "surplus" to build his arch monument to himself.
Steve...erase all the other heads on Rushmore, and put one big Trump there instead.....
