With respect, I disagree. That article focuses on one trendy definition of trend, "Commodity Trend Advisor" or CTA. What even is that? Is it specifically focused on Commodities as an asset class? I've heard it discussed on Faber's podcast. And with That Person's nuts ideas and behavior being a key source of this market turmoil, unlike past market shocks caused by developing business conditions, declaiming trend following at large seems incorrect - because this time IS different.

Trend from Global Tactical, Antonacci relative and absolute momentum, and related equity PAMA trend figures ALL signaled trouble starting in January and more strongly in mid-February.
