Hmmm. But there's no RFK up there to blame, so Canadian leftists are doing what American leftists do instead of solving problems: find someone else to blame.

Clearly, the Mennonites are not necessarily the source of this particular outbreak. However, it turns out Ontario is Canada’s top immigrant-receiving province, with most newcomers hailing from developing nations in Asia and Africa. The current immigration numbers show that over 86,000 Indians and nearly 7,000 Pakistanis immigrated to the this area in 2024. These two countries are #2 and #3 in the number of measles cases reported globally as of July 2025.

Canada is experiencing a massive measles outbreak and health authorities are blaming the country’s tiny population of German Mennonites so they don’t have to look at the millions of immigrants flooding in from India, which is a global measles hotspot.

Because of course they won't. Proggie ideology shall be defended no matter what it costs and who gets hurt. And what's the first Commandment of the Church of Progressivism?

I've read about it in other sources that place the blame in two areas. 1. lower vaccination rates, and 2. international travel.

Mennonites have lower vaccination rates and have severe problems with the outbreak. They aren't ignoring international travel at all. The vaxx rate in Alberta can get as low as 45% in some areas, so the concept of herd immunity doesn't exist. They have the same problems we do.

There's a chart a ways down the page which shows whether the exposure was outside or inside of Canada. You'll see that most of the exposures were inside Canada. https://health-infobase.canada.ca/measles-rubella/

So maybe the blog your reading needs to adjust its message, eh?
