Republicans don't.

100% fact.

Of The 49m Jobs Created Since 1989, 47m or 96% Have Come Under Democratic Presidents.

When Democrats are in power, things get better. When Republicans are in power, things get worse.

Ever wonder why all they want to talk about is culture wars?

Because woke liberal activism is ruining our culture.

What culture would that be; the one exemplified by a world-class lying, cowardly bully of a racist, orange spray-tanned, comb-overed marital cheat who defrauds charities, cheats on his taxes, rapes women, insults veteran POW, stiffs hard working immigrant workers and entitled attorneys).... and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Culture in my town is doing fine. Thank you for asking. Plenty of music, festivals, good food, social groups, civic meetings. I suppose for some ignorance is bliss, and the wrong kind of festival is upsetting. Most U.S. voters are more concerned about the economy and jobs. The United States economy does better under the administration of Democratic presidents.

Where the war on woke goes from here, Sep 1, 2023
Republican voters don't really care for the war on woke. That doesn't mean it will end.
"A July New York Times and Siena College poll of Republican voters conducted nationally found that candidates wouldn't necessarily gain support for simply focusing on quashing 'wokeness,' or left-wing ideology, in schools, corporations, or culture at large. Instead, they were more interested in candidates who focused on the economy or on 'law and order.' "

Woke
1a: aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/woke

U.S. economic performance under Democratic and Republican presidents
"Since World War II, the United States economy has performed better on average under the administration of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents. The reasons for this are debated, and the observation applies to economic variables including job creation, GDP growth, stock market returns, personal income growth and corporate profits. The unemployment rate has fallen on average under Democratic presidents, while it has risen on average under Republican presidents. Budget deficits relative to the size of the economy were lower on average for Democratic presidents. Ten of the eleven U.S. recessions between 1953 and 2020 began under Republican presidents."

Democrats Create Jobs

Oh yes, I'm sure he does, Keep up the good work Biden....The illegal aliens need you.

'Biden Launches Nationwide Workforce Initiative ' for Illegal Aliens'
Snip
'President Joe Biden's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched a nationwide workforce initiative that seeks to funnel millions of border crossers and illegal aliens into United States jobs ' even as the labor force participation rate for Americans continues to decline. On Wednesday, Biden's DHS announced 'a first-of-its-kind national campaign' to make millions of border crossers and illegal aliens, who have been released into the U.S. interior, aware that they are eligible for work permits to take American jobs.DHS officials wrote in a press release: Hundreds of thousands of email and text notifications have been sent by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in English,:

LMArticle from breitbart.... You won't see this on left wing news outlets.

Wrong you are. But CBS is just more accurate:

"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) started sending emails and texts to migrants who are eligible to apply for work authorization with the agency, including asylum-seekers and those who arrived in the U.S. under programs the Biden administration created to discourage adults and families from crossing the southern border without authorization.

"You are receiving this message because you were paroled into the U.S. You can apply for a work permit online," reads the notification, which includes a link to the USCIS work authorization application.

Naree Ketudat, a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees USCIS, confirmed the department had "launched a first-of-its-kind national campaign for noncitizens who are work-eligible but have not yet applied for employment authorization.""

This is at the behest of the states - to put these fold to work so they pay their way, eh? You have a problem with working LM?

So glad you are cheering the jobs program for illegal aliens. They need all the help they
can get from the left. After all, the dems will be needing their votes eventually.

Meanwhile our veterans, American workforce, homeless....oh, I don't mean to bore you with the

Woke
1a: aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)

Thank you for your far left definition of woke, I found another merriam-webster definition that is a bit more truthful.

Snip
What to Know
Woke is now defined in this dictionary as 'aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),' and identified as U.S. slang. It originated in African American English and gained more widespread use beginning in 2014 as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. By the end of that same decade it was also being applied by some as a general pejorative for anyone who is or appears to be politically left-leaning.

That'll be the day when you are actually concerned about the homeless and not NIMBY.

We've got historically low unemployment. The big problems are high interest rates, inflation, lack of starter houses, affordable health care. Notice that none of those are caused by illegal immigrants? Notice the inflation came from the Trump admin, so we had to raise interest rates to quell it? Did anything good come out of the Trump Admin? We need the working Joe couple to be able to afford a house and health care, and save.

All True. Another huge problem is vast wealth inequality. The folks at the top have all the wealth.
Thanks to Republican tax cuts for the wealthy, the inequality of wealth has substantially increased in the United States in recent decades.
The 400 wealthiest Americans own as much wealth as America's bottom 64%, nearly two-thirds of the nation's households, combined.
More than 10% of families have negative net worth.

Just look at the The Gini coefficient, it is used to determine a countries wealth inequality, the higher the number the higher the wealth inequality.
The U.S. currently has a rather high 85% Gini coefficient. That puts us right in line with Haiti and Gambia. (No other industrialized country has a number that high!)

Janet Yellen said, "There's no question that we've had a trend toward growing inequality and that this trend can shape and determine the ability of different groups
to participate equally in a democracy and have grave effects on social stability over time."

Economist Thomas Piketty argues that, "Extremely high levels of wealth inequality are incompatible with the meritocratic values and principles of social justice
fundamental to modern democratic societies and that the risk of a drift towards oligarchy is real and gives little reason for optimism about where the United States is headed."

The answer is simple. We need to tax the wealthy, like we did in the 1940's, the 1950's, the 1960's and the 1970's and part of the 1980's.

We should all keep in mind that there's a bit of "being born on third base and thinking you've hit a triple" going on here.

For most Red and Blue states, the former are poorer than the latter today because they've always been poorer than the latter. Mississippi isn't poorer than New York because NY implemented more progressive economic policies over the last century. Mississippi's always been one of the poorest states in the union, and New York's always been one of the richest - because Mississippi started off as a primarily agricultural state, and New York has always been the home of the largest centers of trading and finance in the country.

The division between Red and Blue states, particularly when it comes to economic policy, is of relatively modern origin - certainly not much older than the 1950's. The relative ranking of our rich and poor states mostly pre-dates that:

https://apps.bea.gov/scb/pdf/2001/06june/0601cspi....

The states that were really, really poor in 1950 are mostly still the same ones as today. The 10 poorest states back then were Mississippi, Arkansas, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Georgia. The 10 poorest states today are nine of the same ten - only New Mexico has swapped in for Georgia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_...

And while I couldn't find a good table with incomes going too far back, the states that have had the greatest level of income growth since 1984 are: Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Tennessee, Nebraska, Idaho, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Rhode Island. A pretty long time frame (nearly four decades), and a pretty solid mix of both Red and Blue states.

Makes sense. Big commercial centers are going to generate more cash than rural farms. I suspect (but don't know for a fact) that GA moving out of the bottom 10 was a result of their concerted efforts to make Atlanta a jewel. They have worked hard to make it a place to do business, to have conventions, etc. Delta has their main hub there.

I wonder if server farms are making a dent. You can't really place those in urban areas (expensive real estate). So I believe they are placing them in the middle of nowhere where land is cheap and plentiful. They just need a reliable grid hook-up, and to run some serious network capacity. That has to be generating jobs both from the actual servers, and from supporting the infrastructure (power, network), plus taxes from real estate, worker income, power bills, etc. The largest server farm is in NV, but I'm pretty sure many dot the country.

The mouth of the Mississippi - New Orleans - is one where it could be a thriving port and financial center I would think. The old South seemed to send their kids to Europe for schooling, but built schools like The Citadel to teach military training to put down slave rebellions. I think this was because the slave cod3e culture came up from Barbados, but not sure.

100% fact.

Of The 49m Jobs Created Since 1989, 47 million or 96% Have Come Under Democratic Presidents. (You will not see that on Fox.)

When Democrats are in power, things get better. When Republicans are in power, things get worse.

https://www.hopiumchronicles.com/p/of-the-49m-jobs...

BTW, Does anyone have Trumps job creation numbers handy? I seem to have misplaced them. TIA
