National Mall and Memorial Parks - On May 27, federal officers demanded an “8647” flag be removed from a permitted public demonstration on Constitution Avenue, threatening to revoke their permit. On June 1, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the NPS from taking action against protesters. 8647 is a reference to “86” (get rid of) President #47 (Donald Trump). The judge ruled that the expression of speech does not threaten the life or safety of the President.
