It is interesting that this Trump tactic is backfiring inside the GOP itself.
Trump has been pushing dehumanizing the opposition, thus making violence against "the other" acceptable.

No offense, but I don't want to hear it.
The left sniggered when little old ladies were assaulted when leaving Trump rallies. Then laughed out loud when Trump Administration officials and other Republicans were hounded out of restaurants, saying "That's the price of being a public servant".

Then the left sent mobs to officials' homes. One guy even went so far as to show up to Brett Kavanaugh's house with the intent to murder. The left shrugged its shoulders, and Merrick Garland refused protection.

A leftist crazy shot up the Congressional baseball game looking to kill Republicans. More shoulder shrugging...and maybe some outright support.

And then in 2020 and 2021 left wing mobs rioted in numerous cities with the call of "this is what resistance looks like".

So spare us the tongue clicking and tut-tut-tutting about dehumanizing others *especially* after calling Republicans NaziHomophobicWomenHatingOldPeopleMurdering scumbags for literally decades.

We don't want to hear it.
