Leaving in the morning on a nonstop to Honolulu. This year, the companion certificate that comes annually with the Delta Reserve Amex card is good for roundtrips to Hawai'i. That saved us around $1,200. Aloha!

Hope you enjoy! As I recall, you have a house/condo there, and spend several months each year.
My favorite area is still Kona, but that's just me. Seems a bit more laid-back to me.
We're scheduled to go to Maui in a few months, but I'm not certain we will go. Been there a few times, seen all the sights. And we aren't beach people, so laying out cooking in the sun isn't really appealing (we could do that in Phoenix, sans ocean!). The only reason to go is snorkeling (for us), but after snorkeling in the Philippines, Hawaii just can't compare.

Mahalo! Yes, we have a condo in Waikiki. I don’t spend much time laying on the beach. I’ve paddled outrigger canoes competitively for the past 6 years, both 6-man and my 1-man. Made a lot of good friends. It’s a very special place.

I recall you did the outriggers. With several months per year in Michigan (yes?), I'll bet the first few outings result in really sore muscles. Unless you practice on the Great Lakes in the off-season.
