“Dollar General plans to shut down nearly 100 stores. How many are there in Wisconsin?

Dollar General may be the next major retailer to close some locations across Wisconsin.

Earlier this month, the discount chain announced in its fourth quarter earnings report it is planning to close 96 Dollar General stores and 45 Popshelf stores during the first quarter of 2025. Another six Popshelf stores will be converted into Dollar General stores.

According to Dollar General's website, it operates more than 20,000 Dollar General, DG Market, DGX and Popshelf stores in 48 states.”
