And that, folks, is today's republican party. Either they claim that Trump actually won the 2020 presidential election (which he lost by 7 million popular votes, and 306-232 in the electoral college) or they refuse to commit to accepting the election results in 2024... or both. Usually both.

WELKER: "Will you commit to accepting the 2024 election results?"
TIM SCOTT: "At the end of the day, the 47th president will be Donald Trump."
WELKER: "Wait -- yes or no, will you accept the results?"
TIM SCOTT: "That is my statement."
In short, no. And she actually asked him four times in a row.
Prior to the Trump Cult, no candidate would have survived a pre-election declaration that they would not accept the election results. But in anti-American, anti-democracy TrumpWorld, especially in the veepstakes, refusing to accept a Trump loss is a requirement.
