OK, I get it now. "Professor" is just a job title, where each organization can define it and confer it as suits them

When my sons were in grade school, I was a ‘teacher’s helper’, but it didn’t make me a teacher.
It was a volunteer position without pay.

So I’m wondering though, can I say I was an adjunct teacher same as Biden was an adjunct professor? 🤷‍♀️
