Well, first off, I'm not a yacht person. A hole in water into which one pours money. Ick.
And my balcony faces the wrong way. Not good for race watching, but MUCH quieter : )
Like most people in Monaco, there are two choices: either really get into the race with events and parties and friends, or leave town. It's hard to split the difference and lead a normal life with all the shops and roads closed. I've done the first one in the past, big time, but this year it's the second one.
A few years ago our neighbourhood association had a special event thing you could sign up for, during grand prix.--a trip to Portugal! : )

Interesting. I was wondering how residents dealt with the disruption of race cars screaming through the streets.
