Hi all, I just found this board! I posted this the other day on the other forum.

This is a fave of mine, a great food to accompany either football or multi-part Korean TV dramas. I do these in an air fryer, but you can bake them or grill them as well. Had a bunch yesterday and can’t stop thinking about them.

Prep is super quick and easy. The only potential sticking point is the gochujang, a Korean red chili paste. You might have to go to an Asian market, but I’ve been seeing it at my local Safeway lately. You can sub any chili flakes for the gochugaru.

The key is to pat the wings completely dry before adding the dry ingredients. This makes the wings crispy, which is essential for good wings. Then toss the wings and dry ingredients in large bowl and marinate for at least a few hours--but I've cheated and even a few minutes works in a pinch.

Cook for 20 minutes at 400 F until the skin is nice and crisp. Then coat in the sauce and eat.

2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drums
1 tbsp baking powder (helps crisp the skin)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder

For the sauce:

3 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - optional for extra heat
If you want to be fancy, added toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
