Funny, only the dems and some media folks and I think Carville says it too.
And Bill Maher. Sadly for them, groupthink is what they do and as such you only see a few capital-L Liberals left in the world. Carville may hate Republicans with a passion, but he understands that other people can have different viewpoints and that you better be able to appeal to Joe Average the Voter. Same deal with Maher; he gets that we have to share the country with each other and that hating 50% of the population isn't a good idea.
But today's libs, like a bunch here? They hate us more than they love ice cream and reruns of The West Wing. They've been marinated in left wing propaganda for so long they've replaced all their ability to think with Trust The Experts. After all, when you have an EXPERT around, why do the heavy lifting of thinking?
Over at the Fool I used to tell them that all the heavy-handed moderating was hurting them over the long haul. During the early Bush years you could have a spirited back and forth with a lib and while you wouldn't necessarily agree, things could be kept somewhat civil. As the years went on and the Fool moderators chose a side - the left's - and basically put clamps on what we could say while allowing ChatNPC and others to fire away - you saw them gradually get...weaker...and weaker...and eventually...slower.
Now it's Cult This and RussiarussiaPutinRussia or NAZI that. They don't even make attempts at anything other than gaslighting.
Intellectually, their movement is brain dead. The emotional heart is still beating, kept moving by the machinery of their strangleholds on the culture and the media. However, as we've seen with Hollywood and in other places you can only suck at things for so long before people start going elsewhere. And when that happens, they'll be truly done for.
