I called and got a quote from Progressive for the first time that I can recall. Geico was 70 $$ cheaper, 1930$$ vs 2006$$. Two cars two drivers. That was with the plug in so Progressive can monitor our driving.

In MA in last year, GEICO clocks the largest price increase of all: 26%. That’s a pretty incredible AVERAGE increase.

Btw, GEICO has a 16% market share in MA.

Anecdotally it seems they’re trying to reduce exposure here, based on pricing and cancellations …a friend with a perfect driving record was dropped by GEICO. My agent says she knows others who were also not offered renewal deals in MA.

I lived in The Boston area right out of college. Craziest drivers ever. They even refer to themselves as “massholes”

I think back then auto theft was just a misdemeanor.

Rates were high even 40 years ago

Geico seems like a bad place to work based on a number of things I've seen lately. And they drop clients very quickly. A company that needs a lot of fixing IMO.
