The Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, has been a major part in the space program, as long as there has been a space program. It's a huge complex, with 30-40,000 people working there. The, what, 1600 staff that Trump claims will be added, will hardly be noticed.
Redstone Arsenal remains the center of testing, development, and doctrine for the Army's missile programs. Besides the U.S. Army Materiel Command and the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command, Redstone houses the Tactical UAV Project Office, Redstone Test Center (RTC), the Missile Defense Agency, the Missile and Space Intelligence Center, and other operations.
After operating as a tenant on Redstone Arsenal for over half a century, the Ordnance Munitions and Maintenance School was moved to Fort Lee (now Fort Gregg-Adams), Virginia.
Redstone Arsenal continues to host the Marshall Space Flight Center, NASA's largest field center for propulsion analysis and development, which developed the Saturn rocket family in the 1960s and propulsion systems for the Space Shuttle in the 1970s and 1980s.

Yup. It's where it should have been all along. A TDS-obsessed lib will vomit out tRuMp iS pUttInG sPaCe fOrCe wHeRe nAzIs wHeRe because of Huntsville's history with the US Space Program and Werner Von Braun. Regular people with knowledge of things would note that Huntsville has a significant place in US rocket history. Blue Origin makes their engines there IIRC and there is a ton of stuff happening. Plus it's an easier flight to DC or Cape Canaveral or Houston.

Doesn't surprise me. Ever notice that 747 model on the table in the Oval Office? It doesn't have the blue and white paint scheme that has been used on Air Force One since the early 60s. It's the reverse of the paint job on his 757. I rather expect, when that "gift" 74 comes out of the paint shop, it will have "TRUMP" painted on it, rather than "United States of America", like Air Force One has had, for decades.
