Patrick White shot up the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) Global Headquarters on Friday, killing a DeKalb County Police Department officer and spraying bullets into five buildings.
Any normal president would have issued a statement condemning the shooting and the murder of DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose -- and offer condolences to his family and reassurances to those working at the CDC -- but Trump is not normal, he's a piece of shit.
Now, it would be a low blow to suggest that Mad King Donald has ignored the murder of David Rose, a U.S. Marine veteran and top police academy graduate, who leaves behind two children with a third on the way, because he's Black.
And it would be a low blow to suggest that Mad King Donald has failed to reassure workers at the CDC and suggest that he is partially responsible for the shooting because he has repeatedly called CDC employees "corrupt, incompetent and unnecessary deep state bureaucrats" who should "get the hell out of here."
Or would it?
But in fairness, Mad King Donald has taken action in Washington, D.C. and just now addressed what he calls the "crime, bloodshed, and bedlam" in a city experiencing the lowest rate of crime in three decades -- violent crime in D.C. is down 26%, murders are down 12%, juvenile arrests are down 20% -- because he needs to continue normalizing the use of federal law enforcement and the U.S. military to police Democratic cities, to get republicans to abandon their positions on local self-government, civil liberties, and to prepare for their deployment in the 2026 and 2028 elections.
Republican lawmakers are applauding.
Republicans across the country are giddy.
For the rest of us, get ready. This is just the beginning of American Fascism.
