--The guilty include high-ranking members of both U.S. political parties.
--The guilty include world leaders, or those close to them, from among U.S. allies.
--Investigations did not show strong enough evidence to convict Trump of pedophilia, and the fact that Trump was good friends with Epstein for 15+ years would not have dissuaded enough people from voting for Trump. Although it looks pretty bad if you're good friends with a pedophile for many years and you either 1) Have no clue about any underage sex being had whatsoever (yeah, right); or 2) You know what's going on and don't partake of it, but you also still love the ringleader and don't mind letting it all continue, as is. You don't turn them in or at least get as far away from them as you can. You allow others to rape and pillage, and laugh at the power they hold over the innocent.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with the parties for me. MAGA folk have definitely lost their way. A central core of conspiracy theorists and white supremacists just plain isn't healthy, a lot of bigots who clearly think their bigotry is justified.
At some point I realized that you can look at the issues and the candidates, but you need to step back and look at the country and ask yourself - Do we need to go right or left. And somewhere in my late 30s or early 40s, I realized we needed to go left and always needed to go left because we are drifting right - even though I was partly conservative, we seemed to always need to go left.
So even though the Democratic Party may be malfunctioning, we need to go left, and voting for a third party is just throwing your vote away. Musk may be doing us a favor. :)

I feel certain, that if the Epstein files didn't reflect badly on Trump they would have been out by now. I also think we will never see the full extent of them. I'm sure Bondi is working frantically to find a way to make it seem like they've revealed something while at the same time protecting Trump.
