⚡️Ukraine and the US signed an agreement establishing a joint reconstruction investment fund.
It is part of a broader agreement granting the US access to Ukraine's strategic minerals. Trump framed this deal as "reimbursement" for past US aid.
Key provisions:
♦️Full ownership and control over resources remain with Ukraine
♦️50/50 partnership structure
♦️Ukrainian sovereignty guaranteed
♦️State-owned companies will remain Ukrainian
♦️No debt for Ukraine
♦️Сomplies with Ukraine's EU integration plans
♦️Funding from new licenses only
♦️US will help attract additional investments and technologies
♦️All fund income and contributions will be tax-free
♦️For the first 10 years, all profits will be reinvested in Ukraine.
ME: So, is this an indication that joining EU isn't objectionable? How about NATO?

what are the odds trump spends ~$10b fighting putin to defend $100m in royalties?
0%.
ukraine needs trump family member and cronies as 'partners' to get it to ~30%.

Something that has been mentioned in the news, but not really highlighted that much......
Most of those mineral deposits are in areas of Ukraine that Russia controls.
"If you want them," Zelensky seems to be saying, "you'll have to go get them."

50/50 partnership structure
The US is required to provide 50% of the military personnel needed to fight the Russians in Ukraine in order to protect the US govt's interest in the minerals. Ukraine is "hiring" them with the minerals deal, so it is a mercenary hiring--so Poot-Poot can't whine about it without having his own "issues" with North Korean and Chinese military fighting in Ukraine with Russia.

where is the reference to any military allocation specific to minerals deal?
concurrent lifting of defense export ban is correlated, but does it involve any new, or congressional pre-approved, military resources?

where is the reference to any military allocation specific to minerals deal?
50/50 deal--per the written agreement signed by Spankee. Weaker than used TP, though. The problem is simple: Where the minerals are located are mostly in Russian-controlled territory. So, to GET the minerals, the US has to either fight--or give up/run away. Zelenskyy knows how to write AND understand that document. Spankee is clueless.
