I am turning into a one-issue voter, sadly I have nobody to vote for 🥲

Repuglicans punished us Blue-state dwellers by imposing taxes on taxes - on money we cannot spend - by limiting SALT (state and lical taxes) deduction to $10K. That is costing me. I noticed Demogogues are not bothering to repeal the limit though. They are always hungry for more money coming to the government. Go around acting like they own it.

The "Democrats," writ large, may not be prioritizing the removal of the SALT limit. But I suspect that if you live in a blue state with people affected by the SALT cap, there will probably be at least one Democrat in the primary that will pledge to fight for repeal. The same might even be true of the GOP candidates as well.

But it will depend a lot on your district, and your state.

They'll shout "15 an hour!" "raise taxes on the rich!" just to feel good about themselves.

But - they love enjoying tax breaks that others can't afford to participate in. SALT is just one.

SALT status quo is fine.

And it's time to collect back taxes on 401K contributions and slap an excise tax on earnings of anyone with an advanced degree.

(Mind you, my first grade teacher had a very hard time convincing me, because I understood the idea immediately but also pointed out that it will take us an infinite time to draw a line using points, so how did she know it was true? But I digress.)
