Will the next President allow more illegal aliens into America?

Will the next President have higher budget deficits?

WILL...... the next President raise interest rates?

WILL..... the next President lay off MORE workers in favor ?

And in the unlikely event this all happens.....

Will culturally decayed Americans, already angry and desperate....."react" in ways that are just a bit more hostile than writing letters to Congress?

Sheeple, I've already got 2028 and beyond pencilled in.

Punishment will be ratcheted UP, not down.

But, here's to your 2025, and an auspicious start to 2026.

Punishment has won the election....

BAAAAAAAA Boom. I'm winning.

"The president doesn't raise or lower rates"

"the president doesn't make layoffs"

PERCEPTION wise, thanks to you people - and lack of civics knowledge out there - thanks to you people....

Yeah, the President does.

Very useful tools to "inspire" certain feelings....and more.

Will the next President allow more illegal aliens into America?

I notice the US regime is running into the same paradox the Berlin Brownies ran into: the territories he wants to add to the empire are populated by the sort of people he is trying to eliminate in Shinyland.

The population of Greenland is 89% Inuit

While some 40% of Venezuelans identify as white, I doubt most would pass USian goober whiteness standards.

Estimates of the "purely white" portion of the Mexican population runs around 10-20%

What would God on Earth Trump do with all the "foreigners" in his conquered territories?

Steve

Somebody, somewhere, will come up with a final solution to this intractable problem.

Will the next President allow more illegal aliens into America?

Hopefully. In a legal fashion, and not using these gestapo-like tactics at enforcement. Carting off people that have legal status is not cool. And, while it is unlikely, I'd really like to see substantial immigration reform that addresses DREAMERs, and migrant workers (braceros), and H1-B visas, and all of it.

Will the next President have higher budget deficits?

If he/she is a Dem, probably not. Since at least Reagan, Dems have consistently reduced the deficit, while Reps have consistently blown it up. Look it up. It is very consistent.

WILL...... the next President raise interest rates?

That's the Fed, not the POTUS.

WILL..... the next President lay off MORE workers in favor ?

In favor of what? I would hope he/she hires back a lot of workers. Though, some layoffs at ICE would be appropriate (mostly the ones hastily hired and poorly trained).

Will culturally decayed Americans, already angry and desperate....."react" in ways that are just a bit more hostile than writing letters to Congress?

If Reps lose in 2028, there will be fake news about rigged elections and faulty voting machines in every corner of right-wing mediabubble. Which will likely result in violence. Compare and contrast to 2024, when there were no claims of vote rigging, and no riots.

Oops...not allow "more illegal aliens". I didn't quite say that right, reading it again. Allow more immigration. Not "illegal". And cut out the BS visa fees and deposits (which, allegedly, are refundable after some period of time). A lot of places rely on tourism, which is greatly discouraged by such things. If someone is getting a visa, they are doing it right. We shouldn't discourage that.

OnePoorGuy.... I forget the thread but you asked me about my assertion that corporate America is ---Liberal.

This is the internet. I can find examples to bolster my argument . You can do the same. There's not a conclusion.

BUT......

Are more corporations offering LGBT support or NRA gun safety courses? Are they more favorable to smokers, or non smokers? Are high level managers listing pronouns?

Mind you if you're saying that the highly educated and qualified people running these corporations are MAGA people from Alabama, hey, I won't argue with you:) I never knew the RedHats are from Harvard and Columbia.

Also just a cursory look. Let's look at "Wall Street" "Big Banks" you know, they "exploit workers, and exploit consumers" and want "profits" - that Wall Street. (2024...was a big year in politics....)

BlackRock - biggest in the club. Led by Woke Larry Fink, Mr Climate Change. (That's not Limbaugh stuff :)

https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/blackrock-inc/sum...

DNC: $442,000. Republicans Senatorial: $99,000

************

GOLDMAN SACHS -(a favorite of so many, for some fun fun reasons...OccupyWallStreet anybody? )

Repub Congress Committee: $231,000 "Kamala" $219,000. Trump: NOWHERE ON THAT LIST.

****************

BANK OF AMERICA (remember the foreclosure good guys ? )

"Kamala" $609,000. TRUMP: $187,000
******************

EXXON MOBIL (Luscious Fossil Fuels )

"Kamala" - $135,000. TRUMP. $87,000
************

There's a few great Corporations. Wall Street, and Big Energy.

They do well.

Their Club 401K workers do well.

And together, they make sure that the other 80% will eventually....beg for morsels.

Anyhow, like I said this can be a ping pong match BUT.... Big Corporations favoring "Kamala" over Donald....is sort of, not the normal way of thinking is it.

Would be like NRA and Jerry Falwell giving more to Kamala and less to Trump.

Oh wait, I'm sorry. "Kamala". I forgot the quotes.

(Non White women with ethnic sounding names...get called by first names by paternalistic White Liberals.....)

Just ask "Kamala" vs Trump. Ask "Ketanji" - vs Roberts or Alito.....

;)

Not sure how that relates. Companies generally don't allow firearms on their campuses. Mine certainly didn't, even though most of the senior staff was pretty conservative. The smoking thing is subject to local laws. And pronouns were never a thing.

Mind you if you're saying that the highly educated and qualified people running these corporations are MAGA people from Alabama, hey, I won't argue with you:) I never knew the RedHats are from Harvard and Columbia.

Harvard is extremely conservative. Especially their business school. A quick check shows that -as a category- US business schools are economically/fiscally conservative, but slightly liberal socially because of the diversity of the classes. (This is a summation of a few things I read.) A lot of the "liberal" things companies do actually are to reduce cost. <anecdote> For example, my employer opened an on-site clinic that was "in-network" (contracted with an outside company). The staff had company badges/IDs. Visits were free. Because we were self-insured, it cost them less than paying an independent doctor. At first glance, it was a nice thing to do for employees. But the real purpose was cost reduction. </anecdote>

I don't think the donations to the Felon are a good guide. Competent business people realized that the Felon was not a good businessman, didn't understand the economy, and would be a disaster. I'm retired, so not privy to any internal communications, but I'll bet even my conservative CEO hates the tariffs. As pretty much all businesses that deal internationally do.

OnePoorGuy....

Follow the money - I gave many examples.

Any comment on that part?

My comment was that the Felon is an atypical example because businesses knew he would be horrible for business. Unfortunately, if we go back to a valid comparison (maybe Obama 2008), the political landscape will be very different. So, maybe not representative.

Ok, so Big Corporations figured Kamala would be better for Big Corporations.

I agree.....

They liked Kamala over Trump.

Agreed.
