If someone appears to be repeatedly personal, lean towards patience as they might not mean offense. If you are sure, however, then do not deepen the problem by being negative; instead, simply place them on ignore by clicking the unhappy yellow face to the right of their name.

For you foreigners , when I visit dollar stores, I always ask employees, how long have you worked here? The answer is usually, less than 6 months. I agree, pay will have to go up in California, and probably other states as well if they want to attract anyone decent. Avg pay in Texas, looking at Indeed, is around $10-11 per hour for a cashier/stocker.

I wonder if this 'shrinkage' problem is not more of a problem in cities, particularly some of the cities where police are apparently refusing to respond, and maybe not so much of a problem in the small towns that the dollar stores target? In the Q2 report, they do mention shrinkage, but it's just one thing among others: This gross profit rate decrease was primarily attributable to lower inventory markups and increased shrink, markdowns, and inventory damages, as well as a greater proportion of sales coming from the consumables category, which generally has a lower gross profit rate than other product categories.
