And as long as I’m here, I would like to see the return of a “fixed font” option which preserves browser dictated line-wrap and other conventions.

I know I can get that with the <pre> command, but that also puts things in tabular format without line wrap, so if I use it to, say, bring a quote from a publication in, it may render fine on my iPad, but not on my laptop or especially not on my phone.

Having the command was the best of both worlds, it allowed a font change to demonstrate a quote (or other use) without adding so many whistles and bells that it became a clown font distraction. (I may have mentioned this before, I don’t know) It’s been rolling around in my head for quite some time, so forgive if it’s a repeat) Without line wrap: Working on the old Fool on either iPad, I could write a post and when I went to submit, the whole screen would collapse, the post lost forever, occasionally requiring a reboot, or at least a restart of the browser (Safari). Very annoying obviously, I got in the habit of having to copy the entire post, and occasionally, if very long, sending it as an email to myself to it wouldn't be lost in the roulette game of 'will it go through or will it blow up' I had to play. That has not happened once since moving to Schrewd, so thank you. Clean code, I suppose. With “artificial line wrap (inserted carriage returns appropriate for iPad, but not phone)”

Thank you. I continue to be gobsmacked how you, single-handedly, run this hidden gem, while a cohort of hundreds at the other place couldn’t seem to keep it running.

It’s a testament to … something or other. I didn’t mean to make that a left handed compliment, but that’s how it came out. Ah well, unintended consequences.
