Atlanta immigration attorney Charles Kuck, who represents four of the detained South Korean nationals, told The Associated Press on Monday that many were doing work that is authorized under the B-1 business visitor visa program. They had planned to be in the U.S. for just a couple of weeks and “never longer than 75 days,” he said.

Irony of ironies

When I went to the Politico page to read the story as I was scrolling down I was greeted with an ICE recruitment ad offering a $50,000 bonus.

I was greeted with an ICE recruitment ad offering a $50,000 bonus.

I'm seeing TV and radio ads for the same here in the LA area. I wonder if there is a two fold purpose. One is to scare the local immigrant population, and the other is to recruit the most frustrated MAGAs living in a largely blue area - people who are more than happy to take out their frustrations on the "right kind of others".

There's also a lot of straight up scare ads with ICE Barbie telling people to self deport or they will NEVER be allowed back in the US again.
