Three scary thoughts:

1) In the past two days we have received three pieces of mail (from different companies) informing us that their databases have been compromised. The information divulged included Social Security numbers, birthdays, driver's licence, etc.

2) A new app has been released for the Apple Watch which keeps trrack of one's heartbeat, oxygen level etc. as well as being sensitive enough to flag if one has sleep apnia issues. Thesee capabilities are opt-in by default.

3) I decided to drill down into my Samsung Smart-TV setting to make sure that it's ability to monitor local speach was disabled - and am not able to find all the required settings.

Free advice: If you have not frozen (able to unfreeze if you need to apply for credit) your credit lines with the three popular credit agencies, make it a priority.
