> Care to speculate who the next CEO should be?

I really did cut myself off while writing that last message, it wasn't just a rhetorical flourish. I was going to talk about that, too.

Afterward I hit send, I did some light research while I was still thinking about it. I think https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/04/disney-ceo-top-con... captures the conventional wisdom - Dana Walden, Peter Rice, Alan Bergman, Josh D'Amaro, Rebecca Campbell, and Sean Bailey internally. Kevin Mayer, Tom Staggs, and Ynon Kriez externally. I would have thought maybe the head of Imagineering, but the circumstances around the leadership change from Weis to Bouza make that less palatable.

It feels like Dana Walden is the leading contender. The external candidates seem to have issues, maybe there is talent in Comcast/NBCUniversal that I don't know about (with Roberts not going anywhere)?

It's a lot easier to know who is the wrong person for the job. I personally believe that CEOs should always be internal candidates.
