btw, I suggested 10 years ago Buffett should disclose after every quarterly filing, which trades are his. Sadly, I don't believe the PARA trade was his. Is that the new game plan, Buffett will take responsibility for major errors by T and T, going forawrd? Not a good look,imo.

I take Buffett at face value- I don't think he would blatantly lie.

In regards to apple- 'why did he really sell'

Very large position
Expensive
Geopolitical risk
Tax rate favorable

I think what he said holds true- its a great company, and 'likely' to be the largest equity position going forward unless something 'dramatic' happens. All true statements and if he ends up selling the whole thing, it was not a lie.

If he thought it expensive and even maybe can't figure out what the next five years looks like for a myriad of reasons, do you want him to advertise this? The tax rate is likely part of the reason, and as a shareholder I would prefer him to be as truthfully cryptic as possible.

Has he disclosed yet if the Liberty trades are his or T and T ? I'm glad he's selling down the aapl, it's fully priced and we are over exposed. I expect him to sell another 50 Billion aapl, by year end, if it stays up here.

Same, we could be 250bn in cash by the end of the year earning 5.5% and waiting for a few good opportunities around the corner (looking to deploy say 25-30bn at a time) into US large caps.

Why Apple..?

*Decline in fundamentals.
*Perceived geopolitical risk, he clearly is not a fan of China vs Charlie
*Big run up and current valuation.
*Low future returns over the next 3 years, (compared to the 5.5% on cash)
*Opportunity to redeploy and buy in a downturn, Apple is a big chunk @ 50% of portfolio.
